Connecting what you say
with what you believe.

I’m a designer. I’m also a minister. So I get it. I understand both your beliefs and your budget.

I’m a graphic designer. I’m also a minister and worship artist with a master’s degree in Worship, Theology, and the Arts from Fuller Theological Seminary. This balance of the pastoral and artistic sensibilities helps me connect your beliefs, values and mission with your media and communications. I believe that Good News should have good art—even at the smallest congregation.

Does the beauty of your church’s message match your communications?

Do your bulletins and worship slides distract more than uplift?

Will your church look its best for your next outreach event?

Has your mission changed recently, and the old look just doesn’t fit anymore?

Listening & Appreciative Inquiry. Design begins with your best. Appreciative inquiry is a powerful tool for starting from your best. Instead of letting a problem sway solution, let’s spend time listening appreciatively to each other so that the best will lead. Is your church communicating your beliefs, values and culture at their very best?

Bulletins. The church bulletin is an often-overlooked yet crucial piece of church communication. For many of your visitors, this will be the first and last document they engage with at your church. For your members, this is a central touchstone of the weekly worship experience and congregational life. I can create templates for your use in Word, Pages or Adobe InDesign, or I can handle all weekly bulletin layout duties.

Podcasts. Want to share your weekly sermons online or on CD? I can help you find solutions for recording sermons, teach basic microphone techniques for professional sounding audio, edit audio to clean up hums, buzzes, noise, add warmth to voices, create opening musical or spoken introductions, artwork for use in iTunes and other online distribution, PodPress setup in WordPress, hosting solutions and more.

Website Content Management & Design. If your church needs a new website and you are looking for a custom design... you should talk with a professional web developer, not me. But if you're looking to tweak your existing website a bit, keep content happening regularly, integrate a new logo, revise content, clean up the design and typography and colors, keep online marketplaces up-to-date, or learn about different website CMS and hosting solutions—I’m your guy.

Signage. Help people recognize and find your church, navigate the parking lot or learn about an upcoming event. A-Frame signs to artwork for large scale illuminated signs.

Logo & Identity.

Brochures.

Worship Media. Create slides for a special sermon series, illustrate a scripture passage, or bring an artistic touch to your worship lyrics. I can create templates for your own use or handle weekly slide creation with live syncing via DropBox.

Liturgy Design. How does your congregation interact with your worship? Do you read from the bulletin, slides or a special program? As an experienced worship leader with a masters degree in worship arts, I can help your congregation grow and deepen its worship experience through design, art and media.

Campaign Collateral. This is for the big events. Share custom-design literature with your neighbourhood. Advertise in the local papers. Get the word out on Facebook and Twitter and your website. Use digital event RSVP solutions. Vinyl street banners. Postcards and direct mail documents.

eNewsletters. Stay in touch with your congregation on a weekly basis or announce special events with an eNewsletter. I can create HTML newsletter templates from scratch for use in your own email program or through my personal favourite, MailChimp. My email newsletters have a higher-than-industry average open and click-through rate, and the designs are clean and professional with strong typography and branding.
